Alexis de la Rocha is a first generation Latinx artist, musician, curator and Lead Puppet Artist of Viva La Puppet. Her world changed the moment she saw Jim Henson’s Labyrinth where she learned life could be as fantastic as we make it. Alexis has worked with Viva La Puppet for over 12 years and has created puppets for Bob’s Burgers, Rick and Morty, Comedy Bang Bang, Mr. Neighbor’s House, as well as worked with Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and Yahoo.
She co-directed LJ Laboratory’s music videos “Other Side” and the puppet fantasy world of “Mystery Boy,” in addition to writing the music. She is also the creator and curator of LALIFF Music Festival. She continues creating magic through her art, music and live performances and Viva La Puppet celebrates her every step — that would make even Jareth the Goblin King shiver.
